Thanks for checking if damaged Box Tops can be submitted; it depends on the extent of the damage.
If both the expiration date and the acronym are still readable, you may submit the clip. If the damage affects either of these elements such that we are unable to read the acronym or expiration date, we cannot accept the clip.
If the expiration date is damaged but still clearly shows a year that is in the future, we can accept it.
Box Tops don’t need to be trimmed perfectly– it’s ok to just tear them off the package. Be sure, though, that both the expiration date and the acronym are always readable.
Also, remember to check the expiration date: Box Tops with expired dates are no longer valid and should not be submitted.
